新聞網(wǎng)訊 為弘揚(yáng)社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀,，宣傳武漢城市精神,，油畫(huà)系于12月23日晚6點(diǎn),，在A12-106教室舉辦了“武漢城市精神”主題英語(yǔ)演講比賽,。校紀(jì)委書(shū)記竇先萍觀摩指導(dǎo)此次的演講比賽,。同時(shí)，我們也榮幸地邀請(qǐng)到了英語(yǔ)教研室程老師作為本次比賽的評(píng)委,，學(xué)工部副部長(zhǎng)王俊老師,，團(tuán)委書(shū)記黃曉侖老師，學(xué)工部楊許超老師作為嘉賓出席了本次比賽,。

這次比賽通過(guò)英語(yǔ)演講的形式,，以宣傳武漢城市精神為核心，把對(duì)社會(huì)主義建設(shè)所需要的現(xiàn)代人才的兩項(xiàng)基本要求合二為一,。旨在突出發(fā)揚(yáng)武漢城市精神不僅僅只是一句空口號(hào),，作為當(dāng)代大學(xué)生要謹(jǐn)記于心，落實(shí)于日常實(shí)際行動(dòng)當(dāng)中,，從身邊做起,，從點(diǎn)滴小事做起，時(shí)刻牢記不積跬步,，無(wú)以至千里,；不積小流，無(wú)以成江海,，只有這樣才能從根本上實(shí)現(xiàn)真正意義上的武漢城市精神,。同學(xué)們通過(guò)流利的英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)和富于感情、各具特色的表現(xiàn),，生動(dòng)實(shí)踐了“敢為人先,，追求卓越”的武漢精神。演講選取的題材和內(nèi)容非常廣泛,，涵蓋了武漢地區(qū)的人文環(huán)境,、個(gè)人的興趣愛(ài)好和感受經(jīng)歷、人生哲理,、對(duì)武漢未來(lái)的憧憬等一些發(fā)生在武漢的好人好事以及志愿者的先進(jìn)事跡,，既體現(xiàn)了油畫(huà)系學(xué)子積極參與、敢為人先的良好精神風(fēng)貌,，也展示了我系學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)水平和學(xué)校的教學(xué)成果,。

比賽結(jié)束后，程老師對(duì)同學(xué)們的演講做了集中點(diǎn)評(píng),，充分肯定了同學(xué)們對(duì)武漢城市精神的深刻理解以及對(duì)英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的熱情,，同時(shí)也提出了中肯的意見(jiàn),，比如演講時(shí)要注意著裝和儀態(tài)，要有飽滿的激情和足夠的自信感染在場(chǎng)的每一位聽(tīng)眾,。

經(jīng)過(guò)評(píng)委老師的集中品評(píng)討論,，大三年級(jí)的黃璐琪同學(xué)以87分榮獲第一名；大一的姜天同學(xué)以83分榮獲第二,；大二的曾必榮同學(xué)以80.7分榮獲第三,。

Entrepreneurial Spirit——the Key of Wuhan City Spirit

Ladies and gentlemen, honored judges

Good evening.

It is my honor to introduce myself tonight. My name is luki huang. To be honest, I’m really keyed up at this moment. Oh, I almost forgot to say that I’m a girl of 100 percent from Guangdong. I am really proud of my hometown which serves as an important national transportation hub and trading port of China. Since I came to Hubei Institute of Fine Arts three years ago and gradually have got well in Wuhan. In the second flowing speech I will share you what is Wu han spirit like in a Guangzhou girl’s eye, and my experience in this extraordinary city. Hope you enjoy this night.

At the beginning, I won’t show you the answer about what is Wuhan spirit, instead, I will start with the Hubei dialect. “Gao mosi”，Standard or not? Well, you guys just told me your heartbreaking answers through your laughs, just as my friends from Wuhan did. Don’t make me wrong. I’m not gonna complain how hard it is to learn Wuhan dialect. Except for gaomosi,，another phrase I learned at first is gebanma. Sorry I don’t mean to offense you, and my point is that the dialect people speak in a place kind of reflects the overall character of the people there---Guangdong is more reserved and gentle, while Wuhan is more snappy and open, just like the strong-flavored Wuhan hot dry noodles. I always believe that whether a city is adorable or not, it’s not about the GDP. The charms of a city lie in its street corners and its breaths.

Let us pause here and think for a minute, what is Wuhan spirit? Ok, your guys’answer will be “take the lead and pursue excellence“. Exactly, but in my mind, the key of the spirit is the entrepreneurial spirit. There are no more herd behavior, conformity behavior, but instead, dare to jump out of the box, change the unchangeable, and try the best to be marvels.

Take Li na as an example, As the most successful Asian tennis player ever, Li has become one of the most well-known and marketable athletes in the world. Thanks to her entrepreneurial spirit, The 32-year-old won the Australian Open in January to add to her 2011 French Open title. Li became a national sporting hero in China after becoming Asia's first grand slam singles champion. Li is affectionately called "Big Sister Na" among Chinese communities and is considered a "strong, unbending and unyielding" role model. She has not only become a household name across China but a global icon.

"I'm only a tennis athlete. I just play my tennis. I am just doing my job to try the best." Said Li. I think, this may be the perfect answer about Wuhan spirit, just do the job better and better, take a lead and pursue excellence, with the spirit like innovation, entrepreneurial. I believed, because having the Wuhan spirit, the city, referred to as the "Chicago of China." Will become more and more modernizations, people’s living standard will be drastically improved in very soon of the future.
